Celebrities just can’t help themselves, can they? From soccer players, to American footballers, to TV stars, boxers and rappers… everyone’s showing off their money!!
When these celebrities took these photos flaunting their money, they were probably influenced by a desire to have some fun, to show off their money and to improve their social standing! For some (namely 50 cent and Floyd Mayweather) this may have actually helped their careers somewhat as this matches the persona that they are trying to create.
However, some of these photos were pretty detrimental for the stars’ careers.
Take Matthew Ghent (the gentlemen in the bath), for example. We didn’t see much of him after this photo. The same goes for Nile Ranger who went from having regular appearances for Premier League side Newcastle United and is now AWOL from bottom of the Championship Blackpool.
Whilst these photos are great for entertainment value, its always good to try to learn a lesson from others’ mistakes. And, what is the biggest lesson we learn from these 20 celebrities showing off their money? Probably a lesson in humility!!
That said, I don’t think that showing off their money affected the gangster cats too badly though….!

Pretty sick actually. One of the biggest traits I despise more than anything in life is lack of humility. That’s why I f*cking despise someone like Kanye West. The entitlement is just off the charts. The funny thing is that SO many (athletes especially) end up dirt broke (I just watched a documentary about it) because they get rick SO quickly, and many come from poorer backgrounds, that they have no idea what the hell to do. Hey, I’d l like to have that problem. 🙂 But to flaunt it is the worst in my opinion.
The funny thing is that entertainment stars flaunt their wealth and kind of throw it in the “common man’s” face even though they are entirely dependent on said common person to maintain their wealth. If everyone just suddenly lost interest in a certain sport or entertainment event, there wouldn’t be the insane $ being earned by performers. I don’t see this changing, though.
It’s more disrespectful than anything. No need to rub it into others’ faces.
Just goes to show that they came from shit, and have no respect at all.
One day, the common man will rise again and money wont mean a thing.
Mwahahahaha!
I love the gangster cat, haha! Honestly, photos like these don’t bother me. Whatever makes them happy! 😛
Yeah, this is why celebrities should not be confused with role models or mentors!
This is so sad to me, because it seems as if they don’t have a clue about what’s truly important in life. Let’s hope that if they don’t, they get a clue real soon. 🙁
I find it annoying how they seem to show off and think they are better than everyone just because they have fame. Needless to say, there are a lot of other people I would rather had that sort of money.
I find it annoying that these celebrities get a kick out of showing off how much money they have. It’s like they’re making fun of us and the photos say look at how much more I have than you do. I do find the gangster cat pictures funny though.
At least the cat pictures were amusing.
Funny thing is matthew ghent only played a dozen games and retired because he weren’t good enough. Bet he’s not washing his balls with 20s now.
It’s a cast-iron guarantee that out of Phil Bardsley, Michael Chopra, Nile Ranger and Liam Ridgwell, one, if not all of them will end up bankrupt.
In fact, Chopra was given a £250,000 loan in 2011 by Ipswich Town to pay off his gambling debts.
Uh, loving life.
If they made it rich so what
Id be first person to flsunt my wealth off
Hard work pays
Nice one big 50 cent $$$$
Wonder what Michael Chopra has been doing with that rolled up note on the right!
You never hear or see anything about the Seriously rich people like Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, etc flashing their cash despite being in billionaires club… You know you’re truly rich when you don’t have to post pics reminding people that you’re rich – People just know!
These athletes need to stop pretending.
Well said Mark!
