Maths teacher sets pupil a mobile phone quiz
I love this!!
After confiscating a student’s mobile phone during a class, a maths teacher sets the pupil a little maths based challenge to unlock their phone. I’m pretty glad that my maths teachers never did this to me.
In fact, its a good little question and relates nicely to finance. Anyone who is managing their own finances well should be able to understand the concepts in the question and hopefully reach the required answer.
So, give it a go – see if you can unlock the phone:
That was a pretty good brain teaser and our youngsters should be taught early on how to manage their finances too
I agree. I’m a huge advocate of adding money management and personal finance into the standard curriculum at all age levels.
Lol! I don’t have a calculator near me or a pen and paper, so I couldn’t possibly work this out right now… 😉 What a great way to make a student work for the pleasure of getting their phone back!
I hope the student wasn’t using his phone as a calculator!!
Haha, that’s awesome. Though perhaps also violating school policy. When I was a teacher the only thing we could do to phones was remove their battery and send them in an envelope to the AP. =)
Yeah, I loved it, but its sad to think that, in reality, the kid probably complained to their parents who in turn complained to the the school and the teacher in question probably got reprimanded for violating school policy…
