Housing bubble in the UK – part III
Following on from part I and part II on the UK housing bubble series. Many people responded to the North vs London analysis by asking “What about the Midlands?” or “London isn’t the South”. All good points.
Therefore, dear readers, you will find a neat little info-graphic below. This shows the annual house price movement between Q1 2009 and Q3 2013.
The “North-South divide” is evident. You could actually cut off the south-east region and you would have a national housing economy in recession.
You will read reports saying “Bubble warning after UK prices increase again” and “Property optimism jumps as UK recovery gains traction”. You can be sure that these reports are written by people working and living in London.
Please remember, despite what you may have been taught be the Olympics, London is NOT the UK.
